Reach for the Stars (2nd Ed) (C64): A Pioneering Effort - Beyond The Scanlines #064
If you're one for strategy games, then the growth of the 4X (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit and eXterminate) genre is really something to be aware of. But it certainly had humble origins, with games like SSG's Reach for the Stars being one of the first to bring it over to home micros.
In this episode of Beyond The Scanlines, the focus is on the game's Second Edition, released in 1985 for the Commodore 64 (the version being looked at) and Apple II family.
