In our CPU Showdown Part 2 Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndWMlJeEzf8 we tested the older i7 2600K and emulated i5 2500K performance on today's demanding DX11 titles, but more importantly we tested them on current DX12 and Vulkan titles, and the results were quite surprising. The CPU and Memory bandwidth limitations seen in DX11 titles, while using a GTX 1070, all but disappeared in DX12/Vulkan.
