This doesn't always happen, but I notice it when it does happen.
Edit: I figured out how to avoid the problem. It turns out this is not a bug; it's part of the Easter egg after you talk to Krafft. So, just don't talk to Krafft, and the traps will work normally ๐Ÿ™‚ Or, finish the part of the EE that involves the traps, and then the traps will work normally again.
