This video is a screenshot slideshow, because I had only pictures left over from former versions. This is no direct comparison in general, because some pictures consist of different angles and sceneries. I wanted to compare the old RON version with the newest update mostly in context of lighting mood, design, shadows and shading, graphical changes, texture quality and more. Please note that the old screenshots were captured in only 1080P and the newest screenshots in 2k.
Even I mostly prefer the old versions of RON, there are some improvements in the newest version as well I prefer over the old ones. Not everything is worse, some content is downright equal, but the overall quality, including the extraordinary sharpness, was way better in the previous versions. Even the graphics quality is still impressive, depending on the much smaller files, the new version can be titled as a definitive downgrade. Especially the LOD is massively downgraded in the newest versions.
