What is it with the Dweghom not bothering to bring their clothes to the battle?
Not only are they tough as nails warriors, the Ardents also able to channel the primordial call to war and whip their compatriots into an even nastier frenzy of destruction.
The box makes him look all right and proper dwarf- like.
Once unboxed... he looks like a wizened old man hunched over to me. Not very dwarf- like at all, and yes, I know, the Dweghom aren't exactly dwarfs, but that's the analogy I'm running with, so tough! Looking at the Hold warriors and hero, they fit the typical stocky dwarf proportions. This guy doesn't as much- not to detract from the sculpt quality, he just looks a little leaner and more properly proportioned than the rest of the Dweghom so far. I may sound a bit negative but I do like him- in fact so much so he's already painted while I'm typing this!
Easily put together, I'd recommend keeping his big stone icon off if you're going to paint him.
My first thought is outside of Conquest I think he'd make an interesting Frostgrave mage. I'm probably going to be running an all Dweghom warband next time around. Naturally the wizards are going to have to go shirtless in the freezing cold though...

Here's a link to the lore if you're curious about the ardent-
