Miragesoft have been fantastic updating Real VR Fishing since its release on the Quest around 12 months ago, they have introduced new fish species, equipment, locations, aquariums and even a boat to call your own.

Now the latest update allows up to 4 friends, even strangers to fish together in all of the locations, to have friendly competition, meet up and chat or just enjoy fishing next to a complete stranger. The update also comes with an character creator, just enter the new room to the right of your TV and you can model an avatar close to your own appearance using the preset items, including clothing, glasses and hats. You can now also open that front door beside the fire and stroll along your boardwalk beside your boats sit and watch the sun set or rise with friends. There are a couple of new achievements to add to the huge roster of trophies in place, 'Say hello' encourages you to meet other players online and 'Fishing with friends' to catch fish together.

The fishing is the same, players of any skill set can meet up, so there is an opportunity for seasoned fisherman to pass on their knowledge and skills to newcomers. So far i have other players to be polite company, some will stop and watch as you reel in a huge specimen and applaud as you land it, others will openly chat and interested to know about you, others like a little competition, 'who can land the biggest fish'

This update is brilliant, if you only want to play with friends then you can set a password, but you will be missing out on what is a superb and friendly community that just enjoy playing the game.
