Like every Final-Fantasy-fan/composer, I've made up a *number* of imaginary RPGs with some amount of soundtrack over the years… The first full battle theme as such that I wrote is from December 2003 and honestly I think it's pretty neat! Lately I've taken it out again, and given it a bit of a remake, making it considerably more "EPIC".

Here I compare the original and the new version, going through what I did with my original MIDI piece now in 2021* (*but posting in January 2022, ssh.)

Featuring footage from Dissidia since that is 1) something I've been playing a lot later and 2) the inspiration for my current vague project to write a lot of fighting music and also imagine a crossover of said non-existent RPGs over the years and rearrange a bunch of their music. ✨ What did you think of my changes? The original very fast midi has charm though, no? What do you think of your old stuff?? Do you ever go back to your old old works and rework them?

Apologies for everything that's going on with the syncing of my voice and my picture — I was recording on webcam (in order to do screen recording too, which I didn't end up using) and I tried to fix it, but I don't think I always succeeded. Hopefully it's not too distracting in those segments.
