The first tournament is done and I had a blast! I hope you guys and girls enjoy watching as much as I did!

If you think that a particular fleet stood out as really well designed, either in terms of looks or effectiveness or just general design, then let me know! Maybe there will be prizes if we can get a consensus.

Also, what should the next tournament be about? I'm thinking either a 2x8000p ship duet, or one carrier and a swarm of fighters. And if the beta's hit, we can do that last one with resources!

Reassembly is a game about building spaceships. This tournament looks at what I would consider the smallest class of non-trivial ships that a fleet might field: the Frigates.

The rules were:

10000 pts per fleet total
no less than 3 ships (3333p ea. average)
no more than 10 ships (1000p ea. average)
no ships over 3500p
no ships under 750p

One faction per fleet
Only vanilla factions allowed- ie: no mod factions and no unplayable factions
All blocks obtainable through campaign pallette - ie: no F2 asteroid engines or F8 asteroid hexagons, no modified blocks
All ships buildable in campaign - ie: no overlapping blocks, no multifaction ships

No spinners:
A spinner is a ship which uses its angular momentum to throw projectiles at massively faster rates than intended, making them hard to dodge, OR a ship which uses a large rotational velocity to mitigate damage taken. A large, slowly rotating ship with turreted guns is probably okay.

No trollships:
A trollship is a ship which is massively under-thrusted, to the point where it can't really participate in combat. Any ship entered should be expected to engage against a foe

Matches will be with default settings. If the patch hits before the game comes out, default settings will be recreated as much as possible.

-60 physics/sec
