Rebel Moon Rising - 02 Lunar Communications Facility - No Commentary 1080p
31(Español abajo)No commentary playthrough of the 1997's shooter Rebel Moon Rising. Hardest difficulty, trying to show as many secrets as I could find. I achieved the music by having it played in MP3 in the background.
Rebel Moon Rising is the sequel to, you guessed it, Rebel Moon. This time around it wasn't a Creative 3D Blaster exclusive, and ran on Windows machines rather than DOS. The engine is a bit weird, it's like doom but you can only map using 64x64 grid and 90º and 45º walls, but they made good use of it, problem is that the engine already felt very dated by 1997, when it was released.
The game is about the rebellion of the moon colonists, tired of being under Earth's control, so you'll be battling UN soldiers... this time around with the help of the alien race met at the end of the original game. As additional trivia, the game has a 3rd installment with legal battling against GT Interactive included, and novels which serve as bridge between them. Fenris Wolf is was a company co-founded by Theodore Robert Beale -aka Vox Day-, who is a far-right, white supremacist, misogynist... You get the point.
The game is just meh and forgettable, as the first one, and they didn't get rid of the boring defense missions...

Rebel Moon Rising es la secuela de, lo habeis adivinado, Rebel Moon. Esta vez no es una exclusiva de las aceleradores 3D Blaster, y corría en máquinas con Windows en vez de DOS. El motor es rato, es como Doom, pero solamente puedes mapear en un cuadrícula y con paredes en ángulos de 90 y 45 grados, pero hacen buen uso de él. El problema es que en 1997 el monitor había envejecido mucho.
El juego trata de la rebelión de los colonos lunares, cansados de vivir bajo el control de la Tierra, peleando contra soldados de la ONU... esta vez ayudados por la raza alienígena conocida al final del primer juego. Como trivia adicional, el juego tiene una tercera parte nunca lanzada con peleas legales con GT Interactive de por medio, y novelas que sirven de puente entre los distintos juegos. Fenris Wolf fue una compañía co-fundada por Theodore Robert Beale -también conocido como Vox Day-, que es una persona supremacista, de extrema derecha, misógino... imagino que ya lo captais.
