Rebuild and Repair Database for 5.05 PS4 - No Reinstalling Games Tutorial (2019)
452If you are a PS4 5.05 user and when you rebuild the database thru safe mode, it may appear that all your games disappear. Actually, what we need to do is run a python script on the PC to fix the database and your games will reappear on the XMB screen!
This means no need to reinstall your existing games, and your profile/save games remain intact! Talk about a win-win scenario!

Note: I realize a true CFW doesn't exist for the PS4, and we are just running a kernel exploit to run code. Even though I say CFW sometimes in the video, I'm sure you guys understand what I mean. :)
Recommendation: Highly recommend you run the backup payload first just in case so in the event after rebuilding your PS4 your database doesn't come back for whatever reason, you can restore the backup files, and then run the python script.
New note added 7/23/19:
For anyone receiving an ftplib.error_perm: 550 while running this script, I have the solution. It is has something to do with one of your game installs that never completed or one that doesn't have meta data. Here is a link to a branch with updated code to address the issue. https://github.com/Zer0xFF/PS4_db_rebuilder/issues/1.
