In Part 39 of our Mass Effect 2 Walkthrough on Insanity difficulty, we complete the game’s second-to-last recruitment mission and attempt to recruit Tali to the Normandy’s crew.

With several smaller assignments behind us, it is finally time to bring in another crew member. We already had a brief encounter with Tali in Freedom’s Progress but this time, we have to travel deep into Geth space to find her, as Tali and group of Quarian soldiers are investigating the planet Haestrom. The Geth are also not far off and their patrols quickly detect both the Quarians as well as Shepard’s crew. Thus begins an intense battle against the Geth, as we try to collect demolition charges to blast our way through to Tali and her allies. Eventually, we clear the path but the Geth have more surprises in store: A Geth Colossus is blocking the way towards Tali and Kal’Reegar, the only other Quarian who survived, is injured and pinned down. Especially on insanity difficulty, this fight is not easy but eventually, we manage to take the Colossus down. For beating the mission on the insanity difficulty setting we are also rewarded with the Geth Pulse Rifle before we can finally reunite with Tali.

In this 100 percent Completionist Mass Effect 2 Walkthrough, we will beat all Mass Effect 2 missions and assignments on Insanity difficulty. The Walkthrough includes all main and side missions as well as all available storyline DLC packs for Mass Effect 2. This also includes all loyalty missions for our squad members, including those recruited as part of a DLC. Since this is a 100 percent Completionist Walkthrough of Mass Effect 2, we will also complete and unlock all Mass Effect 2 achievements, including the DLC achievements.
