After the train robbery, Tilly Jackson informs the gang that Abigail has been captured by Agent Milton. Despite Arthur's insistence to rescue her, Dutch, influenced by Micah, decides to prioritize the gang's interests over Abigail's safety. Arthur, disillusioned with Dutch's decisions, decides to leave the gang and help rescue Abigail with Sadie's assistance. They engage in a shootout in Van Horn, where Sadie takes on Milton's men while Arthur provides sniper cover. They eventually confront Milton, who reveals Micah as the traitor and attempts to kill Arthur. Abigail intervenes, saving Arthur's life.
After escaping, Arthur decides to confront the gang at Beaver Hollow while sending Abigail and Sadie to safety. Arthur, Sadie, and Abigail launch a rescue mission in Van Horn. During the confrontation, Dutch remains silent as tensions rise between Arthur, John, and Micah. Susan Grimshaw sides with Arthur and John, but Micah kills her, escalating the situation. Dutch demands allegiance, leading to a standoff. Before violence erupts, Agent Ross and Pinkertons attack, causing chaos.
Arthur and John escape, pursued by Pinkertons. They flee through caves, during which Arthur reveals Micah's betrayal. Arthur and John are pursued by Dutch and Micah, leading to a final confrontation. Depending on the player's choice:
Help John to escape: Arthur sacrifices himself to give John a chance to flee, engaging in a brutal brawl with Micah. Arthur succumbs to his injuries, dying peacefully if his honor is high, or being killed by Micah if it's low.
Go back for the money: Arthur retrieves the gang's money but is attacked by Micah. After a vicious knife fight, Dutch intervenes, leaving Arthur to die if his honor is high, or witnessing Arthur's death if it's low. Micah ultimately takes the money.
Arthur's fate is determined by the player's choices and their honor level, resulting in different endings reflecting Arthur's redemption or downfall.
