Red Dead Redemption 2 VR is Still WILD in 2024 // 4090 VR Mod Gameplay
1,100Red Dead Redemption 2 VR would be one of the BEST VR mods ever if we could just improve the performance somewhat, it's still a challenging game to run at a high framerate in VR and an even more challenging one to capture in a pleasing way. Today I've tried my best to showcase some VR Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay using the defunct Luke Ross R.E.A.L mod which was shutdown by Rockstar before it could really reach it's true potential (however surely some clever person out there could tinker with it and get it performing better now in 2024... in secret!). Red Dead 2 VR is a still a stunning experience despite the drawbacks, we have a fully realised open world to explore packed with missions, unique interactions and almost endless playground style opportunities for fun... it's a world you can truly get lost in with a VR headset on. I would pay whatever Rockstar asked if they made an official Red Dead Redemption 2 VR game, it would no doubt end up being the most popular VR game ever if it was done right and I'd likely struggle to play anything else ever again...
This Red Dead Redemption 2 VR gameplay was captured at ultra settings on a 4090 VR ready PC setup with a Quest 3 connected via link cable. The capture looks slightly framey at times but this is primarily due to running multiple programmes to ensure a stable capture, the experience inside the headset was much smoother.
