I decided to use a video of me scrolling through all the different weapons in RO2 so I can put up some notes to help those that are either new to the game, or need a bit of a refresher.

Learn your weapons in this game, it will make it a heck of a lot more easy to get better if you have a basic understanding of how the real things work as well.

I recommend that you get familiar with the real guns to get a better idea of how they will feel and how they work, as it will make it easier to get better at this game, I recommend looking around the site http://world.guns.ru/index-e.html so you can learn about the history and the workings of the guns you will be using in this game. Though keep in mind, most of the guns are portrayed as accurate to their real-life counterparts, many of them have been modified to balance the game or to add content. For example, Germans usually did not use AT rifles, instead they would use panzerfausts (and later, panzershreks) or something along those lines. also keep in mind that many of these weapons are very rare or don't actually exist, at least in the time of the battle of Stalingrad, and they are made widely available for game balance reasons (ex: G41(W) is a rare gun that was only used for a short time by the German army, as they were super unreliable in reality and the German soldiers hated them, and the MKB 42(H) is a rare weapon developed AFTER the battle of Stalingrad which it was one of two experimental assault rifles the German army tested, in the end, the German army choose the superior MP44 later in the war, also, the Scoped G41(W) physically makes no sense, as the scope is mounted so far forward it would be impossible to use in real life).

Also, keep in mind that the information is valid only for Realism mode. Weapons behave differently in classic and action mode. I rarely play action mode as guns feel like they shoot rubber bullets or something, and I sometimes play classic mode, where the guns are portrayed with even more realism than realism mode ironically... class weapons are different for each mode as well, but the general information I will be giving will apply to Realism, which is the most popular game mode in RO2.
