In this tutorial I'm talking about the types of the light sources in Redshift. I show Redshift Physical Light and IES. I'm talking about volumetric lighting and sampling for him. I show the Gobo effect and the projection of caustics and shadows from the image. I conduct a test render with a Volume Light from IES on the GeForce GT 1030, and on the our farm Forrender.com - on 1 * GTX 980Ti and 4 * GTX 1080Ti

0:20 - 1:27 - Preparing the scene. Basic render settings, creation of objects, cameras and Redshift Physical Light.

1:27 - 3:01 - Redshift Light Type. Area, Point, Spot, Directional. We start with Redshift Area Light. Dimensions of the light source. The Intensity tab. Lighting Modes. Color Map, lighting with temperature or texture. Unit Type. Intencity. Lighting with a gradient map.

3:01 - 3:17 - The Ray Contribution tab. Affect Diffuse and Affect Specular. Matte Shadow Iluminator. Diffuse Scale and Glossy Scale.

3:17 - 3:32 - Decay tab and type of light attenuation.

3:32 - 5:00 - Area tab. Visibility of the light source. Lighting in both directions. Normalization of intensity. Shape and the ability to choose a different source form. Lighting with Mesh. Quality management with Samples.

5:00 - 5:15 - Spot tab and Spot Light settings. Cone Angle and Falloff Angle parameters

5:15 - 7:05 - The Shadow tab. Turn the shadow on and off. Adjusting its transparency and softness, samples and softness affects Gobo. Set the shadow in the viewport using Viewport ROE. Simulate caustics with Gobo and project any image onto the surface.

7:05 - 7:52 - The Volume tab. Adjusting the volumetric light in Redshift. Contribution Scale and Samples.

7:52 - 11:15 - Setting up IES lighting. Create a profile in the IES Generator. Turning on the Volumetric light on these sources. Sampling settings and test render on GeForce GT 1030, GTX 980Ti and 4 * GTX 1080Ti.
