Written on the morning of August 16, 2014, "Reflection at Dusk" is an original piano composition that is an etude on the 20th century compositional technique of "planing" which emphasizes the use of parallel harmonies such as represented in some of the works of Debussy. This piece also has an uncertain sense of key as it never arrives at the tonic chord of C Major until the last chord and even then is missing the third of the chord.
