Microsoft is going to be offering a self-service refund program/policy for the XBox One and Windows 10 for video games. The system matches the Steam return policy pretty closely but misses the real value of a proper refund system by a country mile. As it turns out, allowing refunds on video games can benefit game developers more than gamers. The Chinese Room development studio went berzerk on Twitter, also not understanding the wide reaching benefit of refunds, as a marketing and sales tool.
