Thanks to Davizzz for the idea of running up the stairs to the right, and for telling me that it's reasonably safe to shoot and run upstairs. I didn't think there was any consistent way to not get damages during the fight before. =D

This is as close to a 100% strategy as it gets with this thing. This is for Hard, Real Survivor, Invisible Enemy (hard) modes since you won't have the flame rounds. It's especially nice for Invisible Enemy mode, since you really don't have to even see what Plant 42 is doing with practice; you just need to know where to stand and where to wait for a bit.

Please note that Plant 42 is kinda weird in that the amount of damage it takes to get the first scene SEEMS kinda random, but it probably has something to do with the shotgun damage. Sometimes I get the scene after the first grenade round, and sometimes it takes 3 (which usually means that I will need another shotgun shell at the end to finish it off). That is also why I run as far as I do before shooting with the Self Defense Gun; sometimes it won't finish it off, and if I don't run over there I usually get hit with acid when that happens. If it needs another shot, just run around to the side where you took the first shots and use the shotgun to kill it. Also, I stand around just before running to shoot grenade rounds because it lures Plant 42 into a whip attack that will miss Jill. If you don't stand around, it will often whip you while you are shooting the grenades.
