This is probably one of the most unfair,broken,and frustrating games i have ever played.I love the original arcade release of Renegade, and i also like some of the many ports the game had.This port however, i definitely don't like it due to how there's so much wrong with it.
The first thing you'll notice is the poor collision detection.In order to get anywhere in this game, you have to know how to use it in your favour and even then,it's not guarranteed those exploits will always work.
The 2nd would be how the music tracks are not only kinda poorly composed,but they also play on the wrong stages.Also,what's funny is that some of the songs used are actually exclusive from the NES version,yet this port has them.
And yeah, the game is extremely choppy in movement.however,i'm not complaining about that too much cause i do understand that PC games from the mid 80's or whatever didn't have that luxury since a PC didn't really have enough technology to do smooth scrolling so i kinda understand on that regard.The graphics are not bad, but i think they could've been a little better.
Some might be wondering why did i play this version and why did i bother to beat it.I gave this version a go because i was curious,and i made a playthrough of it because i didn't see anybody else on youtube making a playthrough with this version.All i saw was short gameplay videos.One guy didn't even seem to notice how bad this version is.So i decided to take the challenge and..here we are.I probably don't need to tell you this but I don't recommend this version.
