Apologies for the poor camera work, I was doing this in a hurry and didn't notice the camera was missing most of the details.... doh!

Anyway, replacing the two diodes in the secondary of the power supply did resolve the issue and the TV has been running solid for over 12 hours without issue.

I didn't mention it in the video, but it appears that Samsung use third party PSUs in their TVs or at least in this model. It wasn't a particularly cheap model either. The PSU in this case was a Chinese PSU which suffered the same fault I have seen in other cheap TVs. Toshiba pull this trick too!

It's not uncommon for manufacturers to use third party components however you'd hope that from a brand name they'd at least fit something decent.
