Macbook Retina A1502 batteries are a nusciance to replace as they're bonded to the keyboard deck with 2-sided adhesive. Fortunately using a plastic scraper it's moderately quick work to remove them without having resort to solvents or heat, just a bit of patience.
Also, please consider removing the logic board first; being a machine of my own and having done so many of them I was willing to take the risk of removing this one without first removing the logic board. Do as I say, not as I do ;)
