Plot Story : On September 29, 1998, two months after the events of the first Resident Evil,[18] most citizens of the Midwestern American mountain community Raccoon City have been transformed into zombies by the T-virus, a biological weapon secretly developed by the pharmaceutical company Umbrella.[19][20] Leon S. Kennedy, a police officer on his first day of duty, and Claire Redfield, a college student looking for her brother Chris, make their way to the Raccoon Police Department.[19] They discover that most of the police force have been killed,[21] and that Chris has left town to investigate Umbrella's headquarters in Europe.[22] They split up to look for survivors and find a way out of the city.[23][24] While searching for an escape route, Claire meets a little girl, Sherry Birkin, who is on the run from an unknown creature, and Leon encounters Ada Wong, who claims to be looking for her boyfriend John, an Umbrella researcher

In this sequel to Bio Hazard (1996), the genetically made zombies are back and it's up to two new heroes to stop them. Leon S. Kennedy picked a bad day to join the Raccoon Police Department. He finds the town of Raccoon City crawling with zombies. Along the way, he meets Claire Redfield (the sister of Chris Redfield from the first game). Claire has come to the town to find Chris. On their way to the police station Leon and Claire decide to separate and search for survivors . Along the way, they meet some interesting characters. Leon meets Ada Wong, a mysterious woman who doesn't like talking about what she is up to; Claire meets Sherry Birkin, a troubled little girl searching for her parents.

Two months after the mansion events, the deadly T-virus escapes into the streets of Raccoon City. Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield find the police office left abandoned. In an underground facility the story of Umbrella Corp. gets unfolded..
