Nemesis 1st Fight: This is where you want to bring all your powerful weapons: Magnum, Grenade Launcher, Shotgun. In the first stage of the fight, he will remain on the ground. This is your time to use your Shotgun, I would recommend, or your Magnum. Once enough damage is done, he'll then move onto his second form.

For the second form, he will mutate and a cutscene with Carlos will occur. Continuing on with the fight, Nemesis can now spring above the reactors to which you want to wait until he stops for several seconds. When he does, I would recommend the Grenade Launcher with Mine Rounds if you have any. If not, Explosive Rounds will work decently too.

For the final form of the first fight, Nemesis will return to the ground. He is much quicker this time around and deadlier too. Whatever you do, take him out fast! Magnum would work best in this scenario. Also, two to three zombies will continually spawn for the remainder of the fight, so keep your eye on them as well with your Shotgun. The faster you take him down, the better.

After the battle ends, another cutscene will occur before bringing you to the Worker's Break Room. The only thing you will need is the Handgun and healing items. Promise.

Nemesis 2nd Fight (Final Boss): Immediately turn around to grab the Rail Gun. A short clip will ensue before showing you need to activate the power for it again. They can be found on the sides of the arena. What you want to do is stun Nemesis as there will be several masses from his body that need to be shot. This is where your handgun comes in. Hit them all until he falls and then go to the left side to activate the power. Do it once more for the right side and then shoot the rail gun!

After that, head up the ladder and another cutscene will ensue. This time, you'll want to shoot a certain someone. Do that and enjoy the ending!

Overall thoughts....

The game played amazingly well on the PS5. But that's not my issue. The biggest thing for me is the amount of cut content in this game. With that being said, here are my takeaways after playing the game.

+ (Positives)

+ Character redesigns (Jill, Carlos especially, Tyrell)
+ Best graphics of the entire series
+ Amazing sound design (would've love the option for original soundtrack like RE2 remake)
+ Dodge mechanic
+ Expanded Hospital (absolutely loved this more than the original)
+ Enemy redesigns (Hunter Betas, Gamma, etc.)

- (Negatives)

- Not enough streets (Shopping District, Press Office)
- No Park
- No Saint Michael's Clock Tower
- No Graveyard
- No Dead Factory
- Another NEST facility (It's pretty obvious it was to copy and paste assets from RE2)
- Nemesis being limited to QTE and cutscenes (with exception to the early streets)
- Missing enemies (Grave Digger, Crows)
- Jill completely skipping RPD!?
- Characters transporting to next location without any reasoning or backstory
- RE Resistance (enough said)
- No Mercenaries (Resistance over Mercenaries...bold move)

The developers of Resident Evil 3 should be proud of what they created, it's just that considering it's supposed to be a remake (I don't care what others say, using "reimagining" is a lazy excuse), this falls short on so many levels due to the cut content. Not only that, a PS1 game should never feel longer than an end-of-life PS4 game. The fact that Resident Evil 3 on the PS1 felt more fleshed out than the remake is tragic.

This was my favorite of the trilogy on PS1 and to see it hashed together this way is just...disappointing. RE2 Remake, although it was missing A/B scenarios, still managed to capture the spirit of the original and felt just as long. RE3 Remake does the opposite. There's hardly any depth beyond minor cutscenes, the entire streets is far shorter than the original on PS1 and Nemesis feels like an afterthought until the NEST 2 facility (which was rehashed from RE2 Remake).

My final take on the game.

Resident Evil 3 Remake: 6/10
Resident Evil 3 Remake on PS5: 10/10 (Zero issues and plays phenomenally with almost instant load times)

This could've been their best in the series, but instead Capcom floundered big time with all that's missing. Supposedly a Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Edition is in the works, containing much of the missing content. One can only hope as this...this isn't it Capcom:/
