Resident Evil 4 Part 24 - From the Top Ep 138
1Resident Evil 4 has a couple of really fun set pieces, such as the freight ride in this episode. Set pieces are a divisive addition to any game to say the least. Some say that they're glorified cut scenes that take away from actual gameplay. Others say that a set piece can be recreated with enough player skill, such as in character action games. I personally disagree; I'm of the opinion that a set piece in and of itself actually heightens a game's impact. Imagine RE 4, or Spec Ops: The Line, or Half-Life 2 as just DOOM-esque linear shooting galleries; they lose part of their charm and individuality without the grandiose and the bombastic.
