Find Your Gear:
Leon leaves the room where he’s tied up and navigates through twisting corridors.
He finds a Green Herb in a box before entering a door leading to a sewer area.
Continuing upward, he discovers a dead body with a Kitchen Knife embedded in it. Leon takes the knife.
The next room introduces knife-only combat. Leon sneaks up behind a Villager and stabs him in the back using the Kitchen Knife.
The Villager drops another Kitchen Knife, which Leon can use.
Through a crumbling wall, Leon spots the room where his gear is being held, just out of reach.
Outdoor Area - Abandoned Factory:
Leon heads outside and faces another Ganado (villager) with an axe.
He practices parrying by lifting his knife at the right moment to block the Ganado’s attack.
After defeating the Villager, Leon finds Handgun Ammo and a Sapphire gem treasure in the factory room.
Locked Door and Bear Traps:
Unfortunately, Leon can’t access his gear through the locked door from this location.
He disables two bear traps using his knife.
Leon breaks a barrel in the corner of the room and looks for broken windows to hop through.

Objective: Reaching the Church:
After narrowly escaping a confrontation with Mendez, Leon gains more information on Luis and his mysterious savior.
Leon’s objective is to reach the church in search of Ashley.
However, he soon discovers that her whereabouts may be across the lake1.
Exploring the Town Hall:
With the Insignia Key in hand, Leon heads into the creepy Town Hall.
Unfortunately, someone isn’t going to make things easy for him.
A trap springs as he approaches, collapsing the tower next to the door and summoning new enemies called the Colmillos.
These infested canines dart back and forth before charging ahead to lunge at Leon. They can pin him to the ground and try to maul him.
Leon must be cautious of bear traps placed in the alleys between the buildings.
Switching to his shotgun when the Colmillos charge is a good strategy2.
Collectibles:
During this chapter, players can find collectibles such as the Vintage Compass.
The Vintage Compass is located in a locked drawer in a smaller house on the north side next to the locked barn.
Objective: Find the Church Key:
After waking up back in the boat, Leon’s task remains the same: find the key to the Church.
Unfortunately, the boat he used to return has sprung a leak.
As he moves into the next room, he breaks barrels in the boathouse.
Keep an eye out for items like the File - Tattered Officer’s Cap and other supplies.
Ominous chanting can be heard nearby, signaling trouble ahead.
Encounter with Ganado:
As Leon navigates the twisting forest path, he encounters certain Villagers (known as “The Ganado”).
These Villagers have heads that erupt when shot, sprouting scythe-like tentacles.
Leon can parry their attacks with his knife, but they are unpredictable.
Another Ganado joins the fray, and his head also bursts.
Players can choose to keep their distance and use well-placed pistol/rifle shots or block the scythe sweeps and get in close for shotgun blasts.
Note: Flash Grenades instantly eliminate Ganado with scythe parasites, so save them for groups of enemies!
Exploring the Mural Caves:
After defeating the foes, Leon heads past a bloody altar and up some stairs to enter the Mural Caves.
One mural depicts a beheading procession.
The chapter continues as Leon unravels more mysteries and faces new challenges
You’ll start the chapter crouched on the upper level of the church.
Villagers are searching for you below, but as long as you remain crouched, they won’t see you.
Shoot the censer hanging from the ceiling in the room where you found Ashley to reveal a Yellow Diamond.
Angle your way around the second floor, and look for a File - Broken Cell Phone on the ground.
Boost Ashley up to create a path for yourself using a collapsible ladder.
Once in the attic area, interact with the window to hop down and coax Ashley after you.
Grab the Flash Grenade on the low rooftop.
Your next objective is to find a place to extract at.
Explore the back of the church for a treasure box and other items.
Save your progress at the Typewriter.
Prepare a good mix of weapons for the upcoming challenges.
Surviving the Villa Assault:
Escort Ashley to the Villa on the other side of the Village.
Enemies will try to recapture her.
Stand your ground and fend off the Ganados during a vicious storm.
Be prepared for intense combat and running.
House Attack:
Later in the chapter, you’ll enter a house where Luis Sera has taken refuge.
You’ll face a brutal attack from various villagers, including a Bull Head Brute
