Resident Evil 4 Remake: What Fans Are Glad Was Left Out
Hey there, horror gaming fans! It's been a little while since the Resident Evil 4 remake dropped, and people have had some time to take a good look at it and compare it to the OG version. Inevitably, when something like this happens, there are bound to be changes that some folks aren't too keen on. But all in all, it looks like the remake has gotten a lot right, making improvements where needed to keep things fresh and exciting.
2023 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for horror gaming, with a bunch of upcoming releases that we're super hyped for. Along with the RE4 remake, there's also a Dead Space remake on the way, as well as new entries in the Layers of Fear and Alan Wake franchises. So if you're a horror game fanatic, it's a great time to be alive.
But let's get back to RE4 for a sec. Over on Reddit, user IndyThang posed a question to fellow RE4 fans: what don't you miss about the original game? Some interesting points were made, with top commenters agreeing that the bulldozer section was not something they missed in the remake. And let's be real, who could forget those pesky QTE boulder segments? We're glad those are gone too.
Other commenters had their own opinions, with MaxKorben stating that they were happy the boss fight with U-3 didn't make it into the remake. While we're not exactly sure why Capcom decided to cut this monster from the game, it's probably safe to say that most fans were okay with the decision.
All in all, Resident Evil 4 has sold millions of copies and still stands as one of the most important survival horror games ever made. And with the franchise's future looking bright, we can't wait to see what Capcom has in store for us next.
