31. Install game in Steam
2. Downgrade your Steam copy to original version by right clicking re5 in steam library, click properties, click betas, inside beta access code box type “G4WLOriginalVersion” and confirm it.
3. Next you’ll need to correct an xlive issue. So go to google and search “Resident evil 5 xlive Initialize” The first couple YouTubers shown should have download links to the xlive fix in their descriptions. One of them has a Windows XP background visible in the thumbnail.
4. After downloading xlive.rar , Open/extract it and within it should be xlive.dll. xlive.dll.cat. and msidcrl40.dll . Put all 3 of those files into your Resident Evil 5 game directory (which can be found by right clicking, show game files within steam)
5. Finally launch game by running the game and choosing DX10, the game will not work in DX9.
