Resident Evil 7 DX11 900p 30FPS Winlator 7.1.4 Glibc Cmod v12 Alpha 4 Red Magic 8 Pro
NOTES: This is the older, dx11 version of the game. Newer versions of the game do not have dx12 and while they might work, it will have worse performance, as VKD3D is not as efficient as DXVK.
I couldn't get a widescreen fix to work, but it's likely possible with enough effort. This is genuinely really close to matching the quality of the iOS port. I also couldn't get 60FPS, as this is likely caused by strongmem reducing CPU performance.
I'm quite surprised on how well Resident Evil 7 runs on my Red Magic 8 Pro. I didn't expect to hit 900p and get 30FPS, and I could get 1080p 30FPS indoors, although not outdoors. This game looks beautiful too, so this is a pleasant surprise. There are a couple caveats - game requires strongmem 1, but performance can be improved by using box64 0.3.2 or the latest box64, as well as setting weakbarrier to 1. You can set this manually by creating an environment variable called BOX64_DYNAREC_WEAKBARRIER. 7.1.4 Glibc Cmod v12 has this as an option, and it prevents the game from crashing while improving performance.
