Resident Evil: Revelations FINAL Review
0Considering that Revelations is around the tenth-eleventh new entry in the franchise, I'm surprised that no one in Capcom said to themselves that they probably shouldn't invest heavily in a narrative-driven game since the franchise writers have no idea of what they're doing.
But to be fair, the plot does have some interesting points to make, some turns to be found, the betrayals are classic Rezzy idiotic to the nth degree bordering on Deus Ex Machina territory and steeped in the most classy of frustrating Hollywood tropes, but honestly if you've followed Rezzy up to this point loyally than it'll be a perfect fit for you. Don't get too discouraged, the traditional Resident Evil gameplay design is still here and there's a lot to do in this game so Revelations will definitely keep you're attention through and through with only a few bumps along the way when you start figuring out what the people behind the scenes were actually doing and where all the characters fit into the overarching master plan.
