Restart: An Ambitious Design with Mixed Results -- Here's Our Early Impressions | Board Game Preview
Playing a game where the players change the course of history and land themselves in a new dystopian future of their own creation?? The game description alone had us excited to try this game, coupled with the fact that this design team put out one of Amy's big box favourite games of 2024. We didn't know what to expect going in but ultimately there were things we liked about Restart so far, and things that perhaps were less of a fit with our preferred style of gameplay. It's certainly interesting, so we hope this helps you assess if it's for you or not.
Note: The game featured is a prototype provided by the publisher with rules & components subject to change. As with all content on our channel, this preview was unpaid.

Thanks for stopping by! We're Amy & Maggie aka ThinkerThemer. We're an Australian couple with two very different perspectives of what makes a great board game - Amy (Thinker) is all about the mechanics and enjoys tight, competitive games, and Maggie (Themer) is all about the storytelling and the theme of the game, and the 'world' that the designer is trying to create. Subscribe to our channel to hear us talk about these two elements of a game, and how well integrated we feel these are in delivering a cohesive and wonderful game experience.
