Restoring a Yellowed SNES With Peroxide and some Sunlight
Retrobrite works great, but it's such a pain in the butt. JSR_ (twitch.tv/jsr_) shows you how you can achieve similar results, easier, cheaper, quicker, and safer.
This trick will work on any yellowed ABS plastic, and has worked with Famicoms, NES, SNES, Game Boys, Dreamcasts, PlayStations, GameCubes, Apple Macintoshes, and Commodore 64s. I've even used it on a smoke detector! Give it a try before you trash your old treasures! Much safer than bleach, faster and easier than retrobrite, and you can find peroxide 3% at any drugstore!
WARNING: Hydrogen Peroxide should only be handled by competent persons. This treatment will only work with plastics that can be submerged. Do NOT attempt to submerge electronics or devices with electronics inside of them.
