The backstory of Touhou PCB involves a winter lasting longer than usual in Gensokyo. As a result, Reimu, Marisa or Sakuya (as chosen by the player) must find out the cause as they venture into the netherworld and confront the ghost princess Yuyuko Saigyouji and her half-ghost gardener/fencing instructor Youmu Konpaku, where apparently Yuyuko is trying to make the Saigyou Ayakashi, a youkai cherry blossom tree, bloom "perfectly" by using Gensokyo's essence of spring...
