A look at some of the best books from a peculiar era of Sci-Fi/Fantasy art. The golden age of Sci-Fi art is usually considered the era of the pulp magazines of the 1930/40s but I think that the 1970s was the high water mark of Science Fiction illustrations. I grew up with these books defining my visual definition of SF and I wanted to share them and try to explain my enthusiasm for this era.
