Ease of installation and use. multiple training missions including take-off, landing, re-fuelling, hydraulic failure, electrical failure and engine failure.
Over 70 missions in all, including training in application and use of both weapons and wingmen followed by full immersion in multiple scenarios pitched to test and stretch skills learnt in training.
Realism of terrain throughout the Red Sea campaign area:- DID provide 4.5 million square kilometres of terrain complete with complex time of day and night light sourcing.
Attention given to accurate modelling of every aircraft which number 60 in all. Aircraft featured in video = F22, Tornado, F17, A10, AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System; the one with a revolving frisbee on top!), refueller, and Russian SU 27 enemy aircraft.
AWACS Missions. Choose to vector and command squadrons as AWACS Commander, else instantaneously switch your own point of presence to fly any F22 in the Red Sea domain.
Sunlight effects: sparkle, shadow casting, time of day.
Cloud and haze effects.
Vapour trail formation in high-G force manouevres. Also, at high altitude, the appearance of Con (Condensation) trails.
Internal Views – real time updating of cockpit instruments even in virtual cockpit mode.
Progressive damage to all aircraft with corresponding flight behaviour.
Collateral damage – if you hit shrapnel/debris then your aircraft is likely to be damaged to varying degrees.
Sophisticated behaviour and graphical portrayal of 36 weapons systems; note missile launch – flare at point of ignition and realistic trajectories.
ACMI (Air Combat Manouevre Instrumentation) presentation; showing replay of combat which is available from multiple viewpoints. Action may be saved in files; typically less than 1MB, and replayed or transmitted electronically.
Realistic sound effects coupled with 10,000 word “smart speech” radio communications system.
Support for DirectX and all major 3D accelerated graphics cards.
