This is the Atari Jaguar conversion of Raiden, a classic arcade shoot 'em up. This one doesn't feel quite right with sluggish response times, slower movement and a lower framerate compared to the arcade original. That said, it has some decent colors, tries to replicate the original aspect ratio, and is generally fun to play. It takes a couple loops for the bullets to speed up which is quite unfortunate (a real difficulty setting would have been nice), and the music is pretty lacking here, but all in all it's still a solid version. I personally prefer it over the 16-bit ports of the game, as while some of them feel more like the arcade game, they lack in other areas. If I am looking for flawless, I just play the PS1 Raiden Project collection.
