Retro Gaming Capture Test 27 Part 1 | Anbernic RG350
More testing of gaming rigs I am building, where I would like each device to be played very quickly without any wiring and also to be able to capture footage where possible with just a few switches turned on. The point of these videos is to see how this type of set up can be done with different devices and maybe help anyone else trying to do a similar thing with a mix of old and new hardware.
Before I took a quick look at the Anbernic RG350 without its long awaited HDMI output which many I think were beginning to wonder if it would ever work, I made that brief video also thinking that it may never happen which disappointed me as it was one of the main reasons I purchased the device. Still, it has been quite good being used as a portable only device during the occasional use I have had out of it, although there is much on the unit I still have not played and tested. After a long wait for the HDMI output the early beta version update is here to try, although it does seems to have a few issues, including crashing my device occasionally. A quick look at a different game as well as the original one I recorded for comparison, just on the one emulator as before for now. I also think my cable adapter may not be the best quality, which results in breaking the connection sometimes it seems, so I have a new cable ordered and am waiting for the updates to hopefully follow soon. I will also very likely purchase some better quality upscalers in the future, which should help improve the quality of any gameplay I record with this device. For now I used one of the cheap ones I already own, currently wired up to the original Sony PlayStation on my set up.
