Retro Gaming Review: CyberTrash (NSW) - A Sci-Fi Platformer with Potential
*Key Provided to me by PR Hound
Dive into the cyberpunk world of 'CyberTrash,' a game that grabbed my attention with its visually appealing Terraria-like aesthetics and gameplay but ultimately delivered a mixed experience. The game's controls, particularly the dash/jump mechanic, felt stiff and overly reliant on this feature, which sometimes hindered the flow of navigation and made platforming challenges frustrating. However, there were moments where the gameplay shined, especially when cleverly using the dash to dodge and redirect enemy attacks.
'CyberTrash' starts off easy but ramps up in difficulty towards the end with tougher enemies and sparse autosaves, increasing the challenge. The shooting mechanics are limited, which might not suit everyone, especially those accustomed to more dynamic controls. Despite these issues, the game offers a few hours of solid entertainment, making it suitable for a single playthrough, especially for fans of retro-styled, sci-fi games seeking a brief but engaging experience.
