RetroFE - Best new Front End for your Arcade or HTPC?
457Here I take an honest look at Retro-FE and what it can do. This has been in development for about a year at this time and to be honest it has come a hell of a long way.
Front Ends are popping up out the woodwork, some old ones remade, some new ones from scratch. This one is open source and was started with the thoughts that they could take the best parts of all the current Front Ends and combine them to make the ultimate... in my eyes... these guys are VERY close!
I put off playing with this for ages thinking it was too simple and it would not give me a the WOW factor I need from these things. I was wrong! The development is there, the features are there. The stability is there... what they do not seem to have yet is themes to take it that one stage further.... I am going to try and change that :D
In the coming weeks I will be featuring this more and also showing you how to add this simple yet feature full Front End to your PC, Arcade Cab or HTPC. Remember.. this also plays on Linux... that itself is amazeballs!!!
