[Synopsis]

This video shows you how to use Putty on Retropie. Before you use Putty, you need to do a few things, like enable SSH which is not enabled on Retropie by default. Also, you should get the IP address of your device, but it isn't necessary. You can log into Retropie by using retropie as an IP address; however, I will use the IP address to log in on this tutorial video. For me, I usually use the IP address, because I have many single board computers around my home with the same name. If you use the name, and you have multiple devices with the same name then you will IP conflicts. I also have many computers with the same names, so I always prefer to use IP addresses.

Putty will enable you to shut down devices with script, enter commands, and it will enable you to put in script without typing every single letter and symbol. It is much easier to copy and paste than to type in many lines of script, and it is very easy to make mistake when you type in so many lines of script. It can be frustrating, and this method makes it a lot easier to do.
