CRT Edition - Raspberry pi 2B/3B/3B+ - TV 15Khz (vga666 / pi2scart / rgb-pi)
What do I need to install Retropie CRT Edition?
This distribution works with Raspberry Pi 2B / 3B / 3B +
SD memory card of at least 4Gb
A television or CRT monitor at 15Khz
Video output exclusively by GPIO with RGB-Pi cable or vga666 adapters (including pi2scart)
Only works with TVs / monitors at 15Khz
How to prepare the SD Download one of the three available images of the system:
CRT Edition Version EVO FINAL 3.3 (STABLE)!!!:
Download the image of Retropie Retropie CRT Edition Version EVO FINAL 3.3[For Raspberry 2B/3B/3A+/3B+ Released November 9, 2020] https://github.com/krahsdevil/Retropie-CRT-Edition/releases/download/evo.3.3/RP-CRTEDT-Buster-EVOv3.3-FINAL.img.gz

The first two (stable) images are exactly the same, the only difference is that one starts by default in RGB-Pi and the other in vga666. With any of the two you can change the mode at any time, the defect that is generated from starting in a different way from the one that corresponds to us is an incorrect color and sound problems.
Download the Balena Etcher software and save the image directly to the SD, without decompressing it: https://www.balena.io/etcher/
Plug the SD into the Raspberry Pi and turn on, from here it behaves like a standard Retropie distribution so you can check anything related to the operation on your wiki or forums. What this distribution does is to switch between the different resolutions on the fly, just before launching the game to get the best CRT gaming experience.
