Learning how to build in Rust? This guide will give you a beginners look into how to play building in Rust. For this tutorial series, I am in a build server called Mahut's Building Block 10X Server.

Terms to Know in Rust
All of these terms are important in the world of Rust. Make sure to understand these. NOTE: Amounts shown are if you are playing in a vanilla server (normal server) or a mini modified server

TC (Tool Cupboard): This is required to have your base. Think of this as your territory. You need to have this to build. In addition, you also need to put wood, stone, metal fragments, and high quality metal in here for upkeep, otherwise, your base will decay. Think of upkeep as rent for a house
Sleeping Bag: This is your respawn point. You can place this anywhere in the map, but useful in your base. Costs 30 cloth to make.
Hemp Plants: Hemp plants produce cloth when collected. 10 cloth is rewarded to you. Find these where grass grows.
Vanilla Server: A term used to indicate a normal/ official server. Anything modified from the base game becomes a modded server
Honeycomb: A building style in Rust where you build outward from a certain point and use Triangle Foundations. This is common to protect important parts of a base like a TC or storage area
Kits: Modded servers may provide you with kits! These are items given to you when you redeem them from a menu in that server. Items like cloth, stones, and others may be included (NOT included in vanilla servers)
10X Server (Or YX servers): These servers are modified in a way that allows you to get more resources than normal per session. A strike from a rock to the tree in a normal server is about 10 wood, but in a 10X server its 100 wood, and so on. This is good for building servers.
