Hey everyone and welcome to the finale of Alan Wake. Just a heads up this is the finale of the main game. The DLC episodes will be included in the series. In this explosive conclusion, Alan makes his way back to Cauldron Lake to face the darkness in a final bout. This time, Alan has The Clicker equipped which is the key to put an end to it all.

I couldn't have asked for a better ending to this amazing story. I thought it was very symbolic that Alan used the clicker to light up the "heart-shaped" hole in Barbara Jagger's chest. As if that was missing in her life. And in doing so, Alan had enough time to think of how to free Alice.

Which brings us to theories. It would appear that Alan used his skills as a writer to free Alice, but in return he had to remain in the cabin at the bottom of Cauldron Lake. He would have to suffer the same fate as Thomas Zane. And it would appear that he has a doppelganger, Mr. Scratch, to take his place. As for the fate of others, it looks like some other key characters suffered an unfortunate fate. During the final cutscene, we see an unwell Rose at the parade, with a lantern in hand. I'm not sure if Alan had a hand in this, but it seems that Rose is now the new lamp lady of Bright Falls. But then happened to Cynthia Weaver? In the same scene, we see Agent Nightingale somewhat trapped in the darkness. My theory is that the darkness needed another vessel, now that Barbara Jagger was freed.

The theories I mentioned are really the only things I can think of that need mentioning. It would appear that Alan did turn back the clock, so Barry, Sheriff Breaker, and all other townsfolk were unaffected by the events that occurred.
