As we near the full release of Starbound, it's time to close out our play through and early preview of the Unstable branch of the game by going through a little more progression.

I'll be honest, I didn't buy into the overhype that other people were getting with Starbound when it entered public beta. I enjoyed it tremendously, don't get me wrong, but I was willing to wait for Chucklefish to realize their vision. Even if it took years. Well, it took years, and my experience so far is that the wait has been worth it. Everything feels far more alive and fleshed out. The worlds are varied and interesting. Underground exploration is more than just digging straight down. Are you unsure about getting Starbound? Well, I say get it.

What is Starbound: Call it Chucklefish's labor of love or reason for existing. Either way, Starbound is an exploration game asking you to hop from planet to planet in search of resources to improve your ship and perhaps solve the mysteries of the universe before a galaxy wide day of the tentacle. Starbound is one of my most anticipated games for a very long time (almost as long as I have had this channel!) and with good reason. It mixes exploration, space, quality sandbox gameplay, and very interesting boss fights into a great package. And there's multiplayer!
