🎙Reverse: 1999 - First Look at 2.2 Update, Anjo Nala Summons & More (ft Mr Duncan, Avgust & Marcus)🩸
3Another hype Post-Live Stream Update! Is this better than 1.9? It's hard to tell right now, but that's an incredibly tough one to beat. That aside, this has been so so hype so far!
Firstly, the freebies with the Random 6 Star for characters I don't have, and I was excited on what could happen, but I was very happy about this! Meanwhile, I only had 1 5 Star character I was missing, and that was Avgust! There was also Barbara, but she wasn't available, so yeah, that was an easy decision.
Other things include double new garments, Poltergeist was a wholesome one with a swimming theme, Yenisei has a very casual look while seemingly looking to enjoy this kind of water that is new to her, Shamane has a more laid back look with people being down bad for him, Marcus finally able to enjoy a peaceful environment without any overly scary happening like in Chapter 6, Vila is just gorgeous and I like the extra mermaid-esque details too, so pretty! And then there is the next Unique garment, 37! It's like they are still able to keep all the numbers and geometry as part of her while taking on other aspects, such as the bird on her finger and the watery caverns she walks in during her Ultimate! I love all of these garments, but I think maybe Vila and Yenisei are my top ones, although it's extremely difficult to pick!
Side note, the Garment QoL is so awesome imo, was a bit rough at first but it started to work more and it's still cool to see how things change animation-wise when said character is wearing that garment.
But yeah, with that said, we have Anjo Nala ft. Mr Duncan! Unfortunately, I surprised myself with how unprepared I was with Insight and Resonance materials as I ended up focusing on Dust and Sharpodonty, so that ended up being a bit of an issue. Still, I had so many Unilogs to work with and it was a lot of fun to do this! Granted, Mr Duncan was probably a given if my Jiu Niangzi attempts back in the day are anything to go by with my Yenisei summons.
As for the new characters, yep, Anjo Nala, or Ms. Kimberly as we knew her, what an interesting character, from the appearances in 2.0 and 2.1, to now, with the new looks and the singing, I'm currently going through the new chapter but she is definitely intriguing to say the least! Then we have Mr Duncan, he's like that cool uncle/father/grandfather figure who has your back when you need him. Best Boomer! And as for Lopera, I don't know a whole lot about her right now, other than she works for Zeno, but I'm interested to learn more about her too!
With that said though, Anjo Nala's Limited Character detail is so cool in my opinion! Where Lucy had her multiple faces, Anjo Nala lets you sing, and one of two things happen which was fun to play around with, and yep, the singing was wonderful too! I hope you're all enjoying this update so far!
Side note, I would have gone over Wilderness stuff before, but with cutscenes that were unexpected, that may end up becoming its own video. The critter stuff is a lot to take in, I have no idea if I am doing things right or not but it's interesting to get to grips with regardless, and I hope I enjoy it more and more as time goes on!
