The best boy, the bearer of the Rimet Cup Trophy and a part of the very first group of new characters added to the game, alongside Melania and Diggers, with Pickles' initial banner being alongside Diggers. Sadly, I wasn't fortunate enough to get him back then, but he surprisingly found his way to me in 1.9 when I was trying to get Kakania back then, the good boy and the good psychiatrist from that banner, wonderful ending, even if it meant not getting an extra Lucy dupe, but I'd say it was all worth it!

Pickles is based off a real life dog with the same name, being a hero for retrieving the Rimet Cup. I actually wasn't too familiar with this piece of history until this very game paid homage to it. Very cool story, and the whole 1.1 experience as a new player back then was a lot of fun, and it was great to see his relationship with fellow dog Wendy and their owner, Charlton. That as well as Pickles having a translator that we now know today, his experiences with APPLe and Regulus, ahhh fun times. I kind of miss the simpler 1.1 times as a newbie, but eh, so much fun has been had when it came to this game, and our love and appreciation for this wonderful doggo will never waver!

Does Pickles actually have a voice actor? Not sure (unless you count the translator) but if there was an actual dog that did the VA stuff for Pickles, that would be pretty awesome! Still, the fact we even had Pickles in the game will always be such an awesome moment imo! Still, there are some cool quotes such as:
"(I was once stuck with nihilism after a certain setback. ) (I thought life no longer had any meaning, but then a ball fell down the stairs and I was, enlightened.) (I didn't want it to reach me, so I need to keep running forward, whatever it takes.)"

I like how this game also showcases Pickles' intelligence, even though dogs can sometimes be seen or depicted as not the most smart, but not with Pickles! There is a lot going on in that noggin, and it's very intriguing to see! It also helps that there is a translator there, which what I love about the animation at times is that Pickles will use his paw to shut the translator up at times, such as:
""The puppy is delighted by your visit. He is about...""

and then it stops!

But yes, what a wonderful character, and if this is the only instance of an animal like Pickles into this game, I'm glad it happened at least once, but I wouldn't mind more in the future too! It was also awesome to see Pickles get a garment fairly early on as well, even as a non-launch character back in 1.3. For the normal garments, I guess the default one was literally a case of "if it's not broken, don't fix it!", just a good boy with some glasses and a book, very cute and smart. The Insight II look however, I like the crown, the additional references to football (or soccer), the crown on his head, he truly is the champion doggo! And about the 1.3 Garment I mentioned earlier, I love how Pickles is dressed accordingly with warmer conditions, as well as having a whole group of dogs alongside him in the full art on top of a car, looks like they were having a good old time! I wonder what other garments Pickles could get in the future though!

I think for the time being, this might just be it for the Voice Lines. Not 100% sure who will be next, I think I want to save Lilya for 2.3. As for Pioneer...eh. I already went over his voice lines in a previous video. Maybe if he gets a (probably free) garment, sure. If I can get Vila in her Rerun, I would like to get her to 100% Bond, but by that time, I'm sure her Advanced Garment in 2.2 will probably arrive! We'll see what happens though, what will be will be!
