"Close your eyes. It will all be over soon..."

Semmelweis, the human-turned-infected with vampiric traits relating to mainly her thirst for blood, initially came to our attention in 1.6's Echoes in the Mountain. In my opinion, this was a very fun Roguelike game mode which seemed like a pilot of what we now have called A Series of Dusks, at least if I'm not mistaken! Along the way, alongside becoming infected, she came across her alter ego, Bella (or in other words, her Insight II look), a less than stellar run in with Kakania, some interesting interactions with Lorelei and meets a mysterious vampire that goes by the name of Valentina. Oh and she also has a little appearance in Chapter 6 in the 1.7 update!

To be honest, I wish I had more of an opportunity to use Semmelweis more. I only really have Eternity to take advantage of the HP Drain mechanic, although I guess Kakania could count in some situations. Ezra is another option, but sadly I don't have him. I could play around with Eternity, Semmelweis, Kakania and a healer when Marsh Creation comes around, but eh, take that with a grain of salt until a video comes. Still, while the 6 Star Semmelweis isn't the most impressive character in the game, the fact she was free in 1.9 in the first place is massive appreciated, and it very generous from Bluepoch imo!

Semmelweis also has a wonderful voice, and the execution of the accent is also just as wonderful, so hats off to her voice actor! According to one of the Chitchat lines, it does sound like Kakania hasn't left a good impression on her...

"I have nothing against psychiatrists; if only they would stop prying... Always bragging about their mental strength, forcing their help onto others, and perhaps worst of all, carrying that mirror with them... If they stop doing all that, I may just come to... respect them."

Lines like these are rather intriguing, but what's also rather intriguing is that the way they go about Semmelweis and her Insight II Garment is that apparently, the identity of the Insight II one is named Bella, who seems to serve as Semmelweis' alter ego, the other side of the same coin if you will. It's a very cool concept, with a satisfying execution! The default look is very cool, the dark colours, the hat, the way she cloaks herself with her cape with a noticeable redness on it after she says very specific dialogues such as "Our victory comes in a tide of blood!" and it's such a great default look, especially considering it's slightly different to what Semmelweis was wearing before, like here:    • Venture Deep with Semmelweis | Revers...  
It's like a more, normal, human look for her, although the red eyes have always remained. As for the Insight II look, aka the Bella one, her hair changes from brown to white, alongside the darker colours with the same awesome animation mentioned earlier, but once the animation stops here in this look, the cloak disappears in a puff of smoke, unlike the other look. Awesome little details!

And of course, we have the 2.3 Garment, where it looks closer to the original Semmelweis but with brighter colours barring her hair of course, as well as a new hat, a white top, and apparently a knack for archery now! It seems like the initial red in the other Semmelweis looks in terms of battle animations gets replaced with a yellow-y lime-y colour, which I suppose fits this theme. I wonder if I'll be able to appreciate it more when the time comes for it to arrive on Global, but for now, I'm glad Semmelweis is already getting a new awesome garment like this!
