Defunct Games reviews the new fighting game Phantom Breaker: Omnia, available now on PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One and PC.

Coming to the West for the first time in more than a decade, Phantom Breaker: Omnia proves to be worth the wait. With gorgeous graphics and wonderfully detailed character designs, this one-on-one fighting game hasn't missed a beat in the last ten years. The simple yet effective gameplay makes the game more accessible for casual fight fans, all while giving the hardcore enough depth to keep them coming back for more. Best of all, the lengthy story mode has been completely translated and features a choice between Japanese and English voice acting. Unfortunately, the game has a bad habit of hiding a lot of useful information and the online netcode can be a little iffy, but gamers who have been waiting all this time for Phantom Breaker to finally come West won't be disappointed by Omnia.
