700Well this is the biggest show I’ve covered in a while. Before SpongeBob, Rugrats was Nickelodeon’s most critically and commercial successful cartoon, but it takes some effort to go back and see why. Running from 1991 all the way to 2004 requires some level of appeal, and this show about babies had some of that for parents, and a lot of silly shenanigans for the kids. Somewhere along the way, the magic dimmed, but it was still fun to see what the hype was all about, and it should be for you too.
Note: If you’re attentive, you’ll hear some drilling sounds in the background, because there was construction going on next door the day I recorded this. It was the only day it could be low enough for me to record for a while, but I’m sorry for any discomfort it causes you. This is already the longest I’ve ever spent on a single review of a show, so I’m just happy the video’s out and you can hear me the whole way through.
