When Godzilla (or Godzilla VS as it's also called) was released on the PS3 and PS4, it was critically panned for being outdated, repetitive, and shallow. And while all of this is true to a certain extent, as a Godzilla game is does a better job adapting the tone and style of the Japanese films than perhaps any Godzilla video game that came before it.
