Revisiting Newman/Haas Racing (PS1/PSX)
0IndyCar is back for 2021, so I'm celebrating by finally bringing IndyCar to this channel in the form of Newman/Haas Racing, released in 1998 for PlayStation and PC!
Created by Psygnosis, Studio 33, and Bizarre Creations; the same team behind Formula 1 and Formula 1 97 for PlayStation; Newman/Haas Racing was loosely based on the 1998 CART FedEx World Series, with 16 licensed drivers and 10 licensed tracks, plus the Firebird Test Track.
I head out on-track at Mid-Ohio and the famous Milwaukee Mile oval, and see how this classic racing game holds up. Maybe another championship series is on the way?
